Christy Smith Fancher is a proud mother of three sweet little girls Carly 11, Collette 8, and Fiona 3. Christy is a graduate of Auburn University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications. She works as a Security Consultant at PowerLink LLC to help people with their residential and commercial security needs.
Christy loves helping protect people’s safety, the people they love, and the things they work hard for. Helping people is an inherent part of Christy’s personality.
Christy loves volunteering and often does whether it be at Providence Christian Academy where her children attend, or a past committee member with Ballroom BRA, Noon Exchange Club, committee for Holiday Fest for Boys & Girls Club, or various church volunteer activities. Christy’s passion to support this cause is near to her heart because her mother has survived a battle with breast cancer.

Penny Haas moved to Murfreesboro in 2001 from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania when she attended Blackman High School, and then Middle Tennessee State University. While earning her Bachelor’s of Business Administration in Entrepreneurship, Penny ventured into the wedding and event industry. Penny has planned numerous weddings and events throughout the last six years with Stones River Country Club and now Embassy Suites. She is active in groups including the Murfreesboro Young Professionals and The Boys and Girls Club. Penny enjoys watching and participating in sports and competitions, and she’s always had a passion for dance. Penny is excited to participate in Ballroom BRA because she likes the energy the event brings to the city and to the cause. The awareness Ballroom BRA creates is pivotal to Reconstructing for Life. The thought of helping someone who has struggled with Breast Cancer or other traumas is moving. The foundation brings back the confidence, abilities, opportunities, and life the individuals deserve.

Prior to taking his current position at MTSU, David Urban served for 24 years at Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU), in several different faculty and administrative positions. He is a graduate of the University of Virginia and the University of Michigan with a business background including duty as an officer in the U.S. Navy Supply Corps, as well as training or research assignments with numerous corporate, government and nonprofit organizations.
Locally, David chairs the Board of Directors for the Rutherford County Chamber of Commerce, is a board member and Development Committee Chair for the United Way of Rutherford and Cannon Counties, and is a board member for both the Rutherford County Business Education Partnership and the Blue Raider Athletic Association.
David lives in Murfreesboro with his wife, Gina, who is a principal in a family business, Urban Expert Services. They have two adult children, Eliza and Alexander, and a poodle named Emma.
Several of David’s extended family members have been victims of breast cancer; three of them not surviving the battle. Participating in Ballroom BRA is an opportunity for him to help people who have been victims of breast cancer or other problems requiring reconstructive surgery.
